Walter as we in Festus knew him was my very first date. At the young age of 10 he asked me to the movies and I was shocked when he put his arm around my shoulder at the movie. We went to First Presbyterian Church together where he pulled my chair out and I hit the floor. Big joke. A couple years his plane got mixed up and he was unable to come your class reunion. I was absolutely heartbroken when I heard the news of Walt's passing. I am so sorry and send my sympathy, thoughts and prayers to you all. He was so proud of his family and talked about you often. The world has lost an amazing man. I adopted Walt as my GDZ (Grandaddy Z) years ago at work when he liked my colorful version of the song, 'Let It Snow'. From them on, we became fast friends. My condolences to you all. I will always remember the Thanksgiving when Jenna was born and many of us were together. One evening when it was just Kelly, Amy and me home with Walt, he bought us dinner but didn´t know what to get us so he came home with literally one of every side dish from Boston Market. It was a hilarious memory from a special weekend and it will stay with me forever. You are all in my thoughts. -Meghan
