BLEDSOE, Charlie Delan, of Richmond, departed this life, Friday, June 4, 2010. Charlie's life came to an end and he was called home to Jesus after several years of constant battles with health complications. Charlie was preceded in death by his first wife, Wilnette W. Bledsoe; and eldest son, Charles D. Jackson. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn C. Bledsoe; three sons, Anthony "Ricky" Cooper, Ervin Wyatt (Evelyn) and Ronnie Wyatt; six daughters, Nolda Bledsoe-Davis, Jetaun, Avian D., Carrie and Natalie Bledsoe and Charlene Carter; one sister-in-law, Helen Bledsoe; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; a devoted friend, Treina Kelley and the Bird in Hand Crew, along with many other relatives and friends. Remains rest at the Carlton T. Brooks Funeral Home, 2200 Hull Street. There is no viewing. Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 12 at 1 p.m. at New Life Deliverance Tabernacle, 900 E. Decatur St., Rev. Dr. Robert A. Winfree officiating. Family and friends attending services assemble at the church Saturday, 12:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please send any donations and gifts to New Life Deliverance Tabernacle.
