Not sure what to say?

I am just learning of Charlie's passing as today I was at the courtyard of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church planting flowers for my parents, Bill and a JoAnn Washburns memorial bench and saw the memorial tree in memory of Charlie. As a Whitworth College alum, Pastor Charlie influenced my mom in sending her 3 daughters also to Whitworth n we are proudly all grads too. In 1990, Charlie Brown married my husband and I in the sanctuary of St. Andrew's, and in the end we all joined hands in the...

What an amazing and loving man. We were blessed to have you marry us 42 years ago.

Gone but ABSOLUTELY never, ever forgotten. See ya down the road my dear cousin. LOVE YOU!!!! ¯\_()_/¯

There are no words......Edda, you and Charlie have been a huge part of the Stowell family’s lives. We have shared so many good times, the milestones, and the really tough moments. Our hearts are broken, but how lucky we have been. Surrounding you with love.

When Mom started working at St. Andrews it was like a light shined once more in her. That light was nourished and stoked by her friendship with Charlie. I was pretty much burned out by church until I attended St. Andrews. Charlie and then Ben Paroulek helped nurture the church into abundant life where people grew in their faith. I will always remember how Charlie and Ben were there for my family in their darkest hour when Elizabeth, my niece died. Their kind and loving actions reminded...

Oh, Charlie, Babo, you are so missed. I feel so lucky that Charlie was my father-in-law, and so sad that I didn’t get more time with him. He was such a sweet, kind man, with a great sense of humor. My memories of our time together are filled with his thoughtful nature, wonderful smile, and quick wit. One of my favorite recent stories, even as his memory had declined quite a bit, was while his son, Cameron, (my husband), and I were visiting, and Cameron began telling stories...Charlie looked...

My beloved, how do I carry on without my anchor? I know what you would say: " with God, the family and our special friends, and one day at a time. Ok, just remember this: " I'm still very strongly attracted to you " and thank you for the rainbow's. Love you forever.

My heart is heavy this day. So much to say, so many conneections. Charlie was with me throughout the ups and downs of much of my adult life: marriage counseling, divorce, re-marriage, death, and always the music! I sang for many weddings at St. Andrews, including Charlie and Edda's ( "The first time ever I saw your face..."). There is a strong new triumvirate of pastors in heaven with the recent deaths of Charlie, Jack and Wayne, and I miss them all terribly!

Charlie performed the wedding ceremony for my wife Hana and myself at St Andrews on May 22, 1976
