Charlie Evans

Charlie Evans was a sincere follower of Jesus Christ. He was a friend and a mentor. My sincere sympathy to the family members who still miss him dearly.

Charlie told me about having met his wife, Grace, when he was a hospital patient and she was a nurse. It was love at first sight for Charlie and he never lost that deep love, devotion, and respect that he felt as a newlywed. He once told me that he and Grace went to sleep while holding hands every single night since becoming man and wife. One can only imagine that they are still holding hands in heaven.

Charlie Evans was one of the finest Christian gentlemen who ever lived in Roanoke, Alabama. He will be missed but there is no doubt about his eternal home. He was a personal friend and my life has been enriched by having known him.
