Charlie Emile Jackson was born in New Orleans, LA to the late Acy Sr. & Julia Jackson on December 19, 1937. Charlie accepted Christ at an early age under the leadership of Pastor Wesley at Live Oak Baptist Church in Port Vincent. Charlie later joined Mt. Erie under the leadership of Rev. Gray. Later placing his membership at St. Paul of Livingston under the leadership of Rev. Levan Jackson. He was known as Mr. Cholley to many. On February 3, 2025, Charlie heard Servant well-done as he went to be with the Lord. 


Charlie leaves to cherish his memories to his loving family and friends.  Three sons Charles Ray Jackson Sr., Tyrone (Avaron) Jackson, Robert (Norisha) Jackson. Two daughters Linda Lathers and Melissa (LeSjhon Sr.) Hood.  One sister, Ella Mae Thornbor. Three brothers, Freddie (Rose) Jackson, Rev. Levan (Jannie) Jackson Sr., & Robert (Gloria Ann) Jackson Sr., A devoted sister-in-law, Evelyn 'Tiny' Jackson. A host of nieces, nephews, great nephews, great nieces, great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.


Charlie was proceeded in death by his parents Acy Sr. and Julie Jackson. Two sisters, Dora Parms and Hazel Jackson, his brother Acy Jackson Jr. His son, James Butler, one brother-in-law, Percy Thornbor, Sr., one sister-in-law, Bertha Jackson. Five nephews Kim, Kermit, & Roman Jackson, Andrew Parms Jr., & Ernest Ray Jackson Sr., two nieces, Cynthia M. Parms Dempsey & Gwendolyn "Ann" Jackson. One daughter-in-law, Trina M. Jackson. A devoted friend, Nathaniel Christoff.

Our heartfelt sympathies goes out to the Jackson family, relatives and friends of Mr. Charlie. I often visited him in his illness and I enjoyed him giving me instructions on where to put items in his snack bag I would bring him. He kindly pointed to the ones he did not want and directed me what to do with the items he wanted. It was never that much, just to let him know Jesus loved him. He always allowed me to say a prayer before I Left. I will miss our visits. Prayers will go to the Lord for...
