Not sure what to say?

He played at our wedding 20 years ago... I went to Google if the band still played on .. and saw this. I so miss hearing him at the Jazz Factory. Deepest sympathy. He was truly cherished.

Janet, I am so very sorry for Charlies passing, he was such a wonderful man and will be missed. My prayers go to you and your family. My late husband, Boots, thought Charlie was so special, so do I. God Bless, Joyce W. Ellett

I was a 4th grade student when Mr. Lyle started the band at New Hope and was his first chair trombone player until graduation in 1966. I know every one of his students remember him with love. He always got the best out of us by being a best teacher. We knew he expected no less than best and coaxed it out of us with his professionalism, kindness, and sense of humor. Wonderful memories of this sweet man...

The Man with a horn. Great person always had a smile. I like many others always enjoyed his music.

I am saddened by the loss of my dear friend Charlie. We spent several years on the bandstand together, where Charlie stayed young at heart. Almost invariably, the first song was "Red Roses For A Blue Lady." Jan, I send my love to you and the family and pray you are consoled knowing Charlie's body has been restored in Heaven where he is forever young.

Jan, Joe and I loved Charlie. Joe said he was the best trumpet player he ever knew. Joe loved playing with him from the time he was a teen until he could not play anymore also. I think they are in heaven playing a duet once again. He will be missed forever in the world of music in this community. He was an incredible person and I'm glad I had the chance to know him. He was one of Joe's best friends. God Bless and Hold You and your family, Martha Pullen
