Charlie L. Manning Jr.

My deepest sympathy to the Manning family. Charlie Junior (as he was known to me) will always have a special place in my heart. I will certainly miss being greated by him when I return to visit the Bethel Methodist church. Not only did he have a bulletin for me; he always had a big hug!! I'm sure that one day he will be greeting us in Heaven.

As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends.

I can remember going to Whitehurst Station as a kid and sitting behind Mr. Charlie Jr watching him play hearts almost every day. I always thought he was the best player and he would always wink and smile as he dropped the dreaded Queen of Spades on one of the other players.
