Not sure what to say?

What a most memorable and loving memorial service for Charlie on August 24, 2024. It was an honorable celebration of a most highly gifted and intelligent person to have known. The recordings of Charlie playing classical piano and tap dancing at age 80 were particularly uplifting. But equally as touching were all the tributes each family member convened as Carolyn sat quietly with maternal approval. We shall truly miss Charlie and only hope we can continue his heartfelt legacy.

May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived. He was loved at Region 8.

Charlie was always smiling, happy and a joy to be around. He showed kindness and real concern for others. It was a pleasure to know him. I met him through my mother who was also a Board employee. He will always be remembered in our hearts. Margaret Peterson, the daughter of the late Odessa Peterson-Moore

What a wonderful life. Ross and Family, my condolences for your loss

What a spectacular life Mr. Sanders. My heartfelt condolences to your entire family, Ross. Thanks for sharing the memories. Love, Colette Hughes

Charlie was an adoptive father to so many of his children's friends including myself. He and Carolyn passed their joy of living and entertaining onto their four wonderfully talented children. I will always remember the laughter and fun we shared. Marijo

Charlie was pure joy. A kind, thoughtful, caring man with an infectious laugh that lifted the mood and brought a smile. Definitely one of kind and the kind we need more of. With fondness and respect, Linda Leddick

Dr. Sanders will be truly missed by myself and my entire family. He was such an admirable human being and lived life to the absolute fullest. I will miss him as a friend and also an inspiring figure to look up to - I truly admired his love for education, his passion for standing up for civil/human rights, his love for life, and above all his dedication to his family. I will miss his ever-present smile and our meaningful discussions. He always brought fun and joy wherever he went. We express...
