Not sure what to say?

Charlie was my godfather and lived two doors down from us on Linden Street. He and Ellie, whom I'm named for, were so loving and big part of my growing up - I feel blessed to have had them in my life.

A BOSTON RED SOX!
MEMORY ETERNAL!

I know this is a little late but just wanted to let you know that I was deeply saddened to hear of Charlie's death. I have been vending at Phillies games for 35 years and in that time I was able to laugh and joke with Charlie when he would come to Veterans Stadium. He was truly one of the gentlemen of baseball.

I just found this on the internet. Charlie was a distant relative of mine that I only was able to meet a few times as a child. i am so sorry to hear of his passing. Please know his legacy will never die. He lives on in our memories.

My family and I were deeply saddened to hear of Charlie's death and want to send our sincere sympathy to his family.

We had the privilege of meeting Charlie when he came to the Black Hills in the early 1960's to scout college athletes playing in the Basin League.

He travelled to Sturgis for only 2 seasons, but he left a lasting impression on many people in our area. We will always remember him.

He was such a class act and a great friend. We feel blessed to have...
