Not sure what to say?

Charlotte was a phenomenal woman, a tremendous inspiration, and shining role model. She gave her cancer battle everything she had, including a mean right hook in our Cancer StrongHER boxing classes. Charlotte always kept a smile on her face through it all! Her gentle and calm demeanor belied the fierce fighter beneath the surface. It has been such a pleasure and honor to fight along side her and to get to meet her beautiful family. She embodied the “Stay StrongHER” attitude and will always be...

I have known Charlotte since 2002 when Sarah and Aleksandr were in the same kindergarten class. I was lucky to call Charlotte my friend for all these years. I really mean lucky. I was not born in the US and I learned a lot from Charlotte. Sometimes small things that people take for granted. Charlotte liked to laugh, but she never laughed at me. She laughed with me. She always had compassion for other people’s feelings. She was a gentle and very considerate person. I miss her greatly.

I was one of Charlotte’s Zumba instructors at the Watauga center. She was such a vivacious, warm person. I loved it so much when she and Sarah could make it to class because they were both all smiles and fun enjoying it and dancing their hearts out! We would often talk before or after class about art and plants and cooking, and Sarah’s schooling or job, and always have a laugh about something. I admired her as a mother, her talent, intelligence, humor, never-give-up strength, and a kindness....

Charlotte was an inspiration to many of us in the Cancer Community. Her positive attitude and love for her family was an amazing thing to see. I’m happy and lucky to have known her. Rest easy sweet Charlotte.

I met Charlotte under a somewhat different circumstance--she was getting ready to sell her house and enlisted me to help do that. At our first meeting we met in her vacant house, wandered, talked and just sort of clicked. We found common ground in kids, art, and life experiences. She shared her current health status pretty clearly, and I was so impressed with her "why" in selling-- preparing for her kids and Jaime in the upcoming months. It was clear to me that she had learned what was...

Beautiful memories. She was one of the strongest people I have met. She was a great friend and will be deeply missed.

Charlotte thank you for your kindness and always listening & helping where you could. I left LDI in 2012 but we found each other on FB. I have missed seeing your posts. At just the right time, God has plucked you up. Too short for many but you leave a wonderful legacy.

The box here said: “What would like to say about Charlotte?” Well, whatever I say here won’t be enough. I don’t have to say anything for those who knew Charlotte. You already know how wonderful a person she was.

Charlotte was my soulmate; not just my significant other, but my best friend of all times, as well. Simply put, Charlotte was the best thing that every happened to me.

At just over two months since her passing, my new relationship with grief, with all of its...
