Charlotte Mary Benson

Ms Benson was a wonderful person with the highest regard for students and teaching. She will be missed by many but what she instilled in others will last our entire lives.

I went to Horace Mann School and remember Charlotte being a very tough but thoughtful teacher. Then I become a co-worker with Charlotte and found her to be more than helpful and a great friend. Charlotte was the best at creating show tunes for teachers who retired to sing to them at the end of year parties. She will be greatly missed.

I taught at Horace Mann with Charlotte for many years. She was a great teacher and an even better friend. She was always very creative doing a lovely job running the student academic assemblies. Charlotte, may you rest in peace, dear friend.

Hopefully the legacy of Mrs Benson will live on and on. Several of my teachers I am indebted to for helping me with Math and other courses. Cheers to Mrs Charlotte and I will pray for her family to allow her memories to light up their life forever.

I was fortunate to be principal of the school and worked with Charllotte Benson for 15 years . She was always a lady and a true professional and an excellent teacher . She was tireless in her efforts to improve the education of her students, giving much of her own time .My dear Charlotte may you Rest In Peace .Jorge

I am very saddened to hear of Charlotte's passing. I also taught in Horace Mann and for a short time we lived in the same building in Pal Park. My sincere condolences to the entire family.
