In the late fifties, the 1400 block of Crescent Street was like one huge family, with what seemed like hundreds of kids in and out of each others houses all day long. I remember Miss Charlotte fondly as one of those parents who took us rambunctious kids into her home and helped create that huge family. Rest in peace, Miss Charlotte,

What a beautiful life of talent, creativity, self giving, concern for others, commitment-so much more could be said.
