Charlotte Dawson Obituary
Charlotte was born Nov. 16, 1921, in Hamburg, Iowa, daughter of the late Joseph Richard and Bulah Ann (Brown) Foxal. She moved to Gales Ferry in 2013 to live with her son.
Surviving are her son, Craig (Jan) Dawson of Gales Ferry; son-in-law, Gerry Matusiewicz of Poughkeepsie, N.Y.; four grandchildren and two great-grandsons.
Charlotte was predeceased by her daughter, Cornelia Joy Matusiewicz and her 10 siblings.
A memorial service will be held at the United Methodist Church, Gales Ferry, at a later date.
The Church and Allen Funeral Home, Norwich, is assisting with arrangements.

Craig and family, Aunt Charlotte was a kind hearted person. I enjoyed visiting with her and her memories of her childhood with my father Bernie Foxal. She will be missed.

Charlotte was a wonderful friend at Capitol Hill. I worked with her in CWF and she was a dedicated and faithful member. I was the Organist for many years and Charlotte always expressed her appreciation for the music of the pipe organ. She was truly a kind, loving friend and I appreciate the years we shared together.
