Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Services at HONAKER FUNERAL HOME1751 GAUSE Blvd. WEST IN FOREST LAWN CEMETERY Slidell LA on Thursday evening February 25 2016 at 7:00 P.M. Visitation on Thursday from 4:00 P.M. until funeral time. Burial will be in the Bassfield City Cemetery Bassfield MS on Friday February 26 2016 at 1:00 p.m.

Charlotte and I were cousins, descendants of Stephen H. Wilkes of Wilkesburg in Jeff Davis County, MS. She was my first college roommate at USM, and we have been friends ever since. We also worked together on saving the Stephen H. Wilkes House, our ancestor's home. My heart is saddened by news of her illness and now of her death. My prayers are for the comfort of her family, all of whom were so very special to her.
