Not sure what to say?

Mrs Richter changed my life and I will be eternally grateful for her teaching skills. When I was 17 she picked up on a problem I had with reading. She opened up a door to a life filled with a desire to learn through reading and doing. It profoundly changed the way I felt about myself. There could be no greater gift than this. Thank you!

It's been a year since you left this earth but there is so much I miss about you Char. I can't pick up the phone to chat or ask for a definition or am lost in the card store not being able to pick out a best friend's card just to keep in touch. Although the memories of our good times together linger I miss you with all my being. Your best friend. Vera

My dear Colorado friend and colleague. A light has gone out of my life, and I will miss you.

Sweet Charlotte was a longtime member and supporter of the Friends of the Alpharetta Library. She served as the President for several years and remained an active member for 20+ years. Knowing the importance of books because of her many years as an English/Language teacher, her assistance in helping the Friends begin the monthly book sales at the Alpharetta Library means that thousands and thousands of books have gone into people's hands and homes due to her support and influence. She...

When I came to Mrs. Richter's first class I knew how to read but..... What She tought me was how to comprehend, absorb and learn what I was reading. This unlocked my love of reading, literature and seeking knowledge. Without this I would have never achieved anything in life. She gave me the keys to learning. I have always had many comforting memories about Mrs. Richter throughout my life. Her legancy continues on with my children whom I like to think inherited their love of literature through...

I will miss her so much. She was my favorite teacher. I was in the class of 1971. Rest in peace.

She made us feel special, like family. In a school filled with gifted teachers, she was as universally loved as anyone. My class of '80 did not always behave very well for her, but her grace and perseverance never failed to carry the day. She'll be terribly missed, but forever remembered. I loved her.

I will always remember Ms. Richter, for her kindness, Her love for all her students, her passion for literature, and what a Dynamic educator she was. I had her 3 times for 3 classes at North Springs. I remember the Comp and rhetoric class, Speed Reading, and Advanced Lit at North Springs..... She Wasn't an easy teacher, but she was fair, and Mrs Richter really cared about teaching at a level that was far beyond most every other class. I can honestly say that She INSPIRED ME to a much higher...

My deepest sympathy to Charlotte's family. She made a difference in every life she touched. Having her for a friend and mentor made me a better teacher and a better person. She was always there when I needed her. Rest in peace sweet friend. Rest in peace.
