Through heat and dust, on camels and in ancient sacred spaces and marketplaces, on long bus rides and at meals with curious new foods, I recall Char's lovely smiling face, warm laughter, zest for adventure and deep generosity. Char, you were unique.

Dear Char, You were such a fine roomie our first 2 years at Juniata. I was always in awe of your natural happiness. Remember when we met in 1978 on the Boston Commons? I had my son Thor in a stroller and we walked around for a few hours. Only recently we starting chatting online. I was waiting to her from you.
