Not sure what to say?

There are no words for me to describe the emptiness and great loss. When I first met Charlotte,I thought oh boy here we go. Boy was I wrong. Charlotte became my second mother. She was one of the best principals I had the pleasure of working under. Michael Langan was another. During the years working under Charlotte, I experienced a lot of tragedy and She was there for me always. The tragic death of my 21 year old nephew, the passing of my father, then my divorce, and my passing out in...

Rest in peace Charlotte. It was my pleasure to know you and appreciate your leadership.

Charlotte was a wonderful person who helped me immensely with my graduate studies, for which I am very grateful. She was a terrific principal and I enjoyed working under her for several years. May her memory be eternal and God grant comfort to her soul and to those who miss her.

I was Charlotte's secretary at Northeast Bradford Elementary School. Although we only worked together for a short time, I had enormous respect for her. She was a wonderful administrator and person and will be missed. I am deeply saddened by her passing and send my sincere sympathy to her family.

The world has lost one of the best individuals, educators, friends, leader, and role models. Charlotte touched many lives...both youngsters, teenagers, and adults. She taught many life lessons when dealing with students, parents, staff and other peer members. Her attitude during her brief but tragic illness showed her devout faith in God. We'll miss you Charlotte, but are thankful you entered our lives if only for a brief period. RIP

Dr. Slocum was the consummate professional. She was truly the best. She led by example and did what was best for her faculty, students and building. She showed strength of will and character by doing what was right even when it was difficult to do so. There are no more of her caliber. I was fortunate to know her and be touched by her positivity and zest for the profession. She will be missed but not forgotten.

To Charlotte's family: Charlotte was my professor in the Graduate Education Program sponsored by Wilkes University and NEIU 19. She was truly knowledgeable and adept at sharing that knowledge with others. I am grateful for having the opportunity to have known her. God's peace and comfort be with you!

Charlotte was a wonderful educator and person. She touched the hearts of everyone she met. Her influence on the students at WSIS will continue far into the future. Her faculty respected her and will deeply miss her leadership.

Miss Slocum was my kindergarten teacher at LTES in the mid 70's. I will be forever thankful for how she began my elementary school years in such a kind and loving way. As a teacher myself, it is especially meaningful. My thoughts and prayers are with the Slocum family for the loss of such a special person.
