Charlotte Van Leeuwen Obituary
Visitation will be at Fort Lincoln Funeral Home, 3401 Bladensburg Road, Brentwood MD 20722 on Wednesday and Thursday, March 21 and 22 from 6 to 8 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated, 10 AM, Friday, March 23 at St. Jerome's Catholic Church, 5205 - 43rd Ave., Hyattsville, MD 20781. Interment at Fort Lincoln Cemetery. Flowers, Gifts and a guest register may be found at fort-lincoln.com.

I've known Miss Charlotte since I was 10-11 years old. She was my Girl Scout Troop Leader. I will always remember her as being a 'mother figure' back then. She treated us as if we were her own children. She raised us along with her children who attended those meetings, specifically Corky and Barbara. And let's not forget Mr. V. Our troop was like one big happy family. She was always there to love us when we needed it and offer encouragement as well. We lost contact over the years until about 10 years ago. It was a church picnic when I saw Corkey, Margaret and Miss Charlotte. We had many stories to exchange. She still had her loving spirit - and she remembered me!!!! She said to me "Honey, I've known you since you were 11 years old!!!" Of course we spent quite a bit of time reflecting on those good ole days. Miss Charlotte - I miss you deeply. The impact you had on my life was huge - I will never forget you.
