Not sure what to say?

both Dr. and Mrs. Watkins were two of the finest people i have ever known.[Dr. Watkins was my children's pediatrician and i knew Mrs. Watkins through Charlotte-meck. council of P.T.A.] There are simply not enough words of praise to bestow on these two people! my heart goes out to you and yours and please know that as long as i live, i will remember them, and sing their praises. sincerely, jeri gertzman

Lloyd and Sue, and the rest of the family, please accept my smypathy on the loss of Charlotte. She will be greatly missed. Remember you all most when you lived nearby with the boys, Jay and Robbie, and the Maxsons. Charlotte and Carlton were friends and we enjoyed knowihg them. They contributed so much to the life of Charlotteans over the years--many factors that will live on because of them.

Charlotte was a very charming and special friend to my family. We loved her very much and it was an honor to know her and Carlton. My love and prayers are with the family during this time of sorrow.

Charlotte lived her life with love, grace, enthusiasm, humility, integrity, joy, and moral conviction. She was a beacon of light for many and will be deeply missed. My heartfelt sympathy to her beloved family.

Charlotte was a woman of lifelong achievement, conviction, hope and courage. She embodied grace. Never did she end a visit or a phone call without saying "I love you." Her love for humanity fueled her courage and taught those fortunate enough to know her that fortitude and grace are entwined. Truly, she embodied our YWCA mission of racial justice and women's empowerment. Charlotte, thank you for a life so lovingly lived.

Dear Family,
Charlotte and Carlton were openly a super example of a great and loving couple. They were the most humanitarian people we ever met. We knew them through our County jobs. It is such a blessing to know that they are together again.

I wish I'd had a chance to write about the great things Charlotte did for education, but that was before my time. I just got to know her as a bonus grandma at UUCC. She was always so interested in and encouraging about everything I did. If we'd had to hear it from her, we'd never have known what an inspiration she was. Such a warm, loving and unpretentious woman. We were lucky to have her.

Charlotte became my friend in 2000 when I became the Executive Director at the YWCA. She was so helpful and gave me solid advice. I also enjoyed seeing her later at the Carriage Club including her special birthday party. My last visit was while at assisted living there. As always it was fun, inspiring and so wise. We actually discussed technology and how beautiful her room was. My prayers with all of you. Jane London McIntyre

I am thankful for Charlotte Watkins, for her friendship, her teachings, her courage and grace.
