Charney K. BERGER

Charney and three other women, of whom I was one, were the truly non-traditional students at Emory Law during her years there. We shared the tough work of mothering young children simultaneously with studying law at a premier institution, and later shared the difficulty of finding meaningful employment. It was with great sorrow that I read of her death. My condolences to her sons, whom I had met only as children but followed through their lives from her reports.

Charney and I became friends only recently, however we enjoyed a close relationship and many hours of sharing. She will be greatly missed. To her sons and grandchildren, you have my deepest sympathy.

I am sorry for your loss. Charney was a good neighbor and valued part of our community at the Cloisters during the 16 years I lived there. We could always count on her for good advice in the community association activities.
