Read MoreLucky holds a special place from my time as a child and young adult. Given my parents were best friends with Liz and Lucky, we had several memorable adventures together. We tend to forget things from our childhood, but my first airplane trip with my dad to stay with the Lufkins is still there. Backpacking in fields of flowers at Mount Rainier was another. I think of Lucky and see a smile.

I am sorry to hear of Lucky's passing but thankful to have known him. When he wanted to expand his business in Denver, he came calling. He was always energetically delighted to see me and took an interest in my well-being. Such a delightful man to be around.
