Chauncey will be missed. He and Pat founded Patchwork Farm Horse Trials which was one of the first events in the Southeast. It became a springboard for a number of riders including riders competing for the United States at the Olympics and World Championships including Jim Graham, Wash Bishop,and Ann Hardaway.
