I sensed a collision of loving attitudes as I made my self scarce at a jazz venue one summer evening in Cambridge seeing the serious magic in his eyes for my friend Anna Gritchting in his first moment of encountering her. I was very saddened to hear of Cheo's Passing. Thank you, Cheo, for your friendship, and for inviting me to join your In the Bury project ten years ago. I knew Jeffery many years ago in junior high school in Los Angeles where we were in homeroom together for three years. He was tall and skinny and adorable -- with an innate wisdom far beyond his years. I'm sorry to say I never saw him again after graduation but I've always remembered him with affection. Cheo, you were truly one of a kind! A splendid musician, a lover of life, a passionate advocate for peace, and an adoring husband to Anna. May you live in eternal peace and my condolences to Anna.
