Cherie Lynn Olmstead, our beloved daughter and sister passed on to her Heavenly Home, Dec. 11, 2002. Born April 18, 1961 in Bradford, PA to Lloyd J. and Delores I. Olmstead. She graduated from Youngsville High in 1979 and went on to Ricks College in 1980, where she graduated with a degree in Early Childhood Education. She spent her life teaching 3 year olds at Sunrise Preschools in Mesa. She was a member of the LDS church and held many positions in the auxillary programs. Her greatest love and joy was working with Primary Children. She loved the Christmas Season, her Heavenly Father and Savior and lived her life in service to them. She is survived by her parents, 7 brothers, Floyd M. of Ohio, Lawrence W. of Mesa, Timothy A. of Apache Junction, Joseph L. of Show Low, Daniel H. of Mesa, Matthew J. of Mesa, Adam S. of Mesa; 5 sisters, LeRae Diaz of Phoenix, Suzette Poole of Mesa, Delores Campbell of Idaho, Naomi A. of Mesa, Iama K. of Mesa; 6 nephews; 4 nieces and her maternal grandmother, Elizabeth Stroup of Pennsylvania. Visitation will be held, Saturday, Dec. 14th at 9:00 A.M., The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Mesa 7th Ward, 977 E. Broadway Rd., Mesa, with funeral services at 10:00 A.M. Bunker's Garden Chapel handled arrangements.

Miss Cherie cared for two of my children during their 6 years at Sunrise Preschool. What a beautiful person with a passion for children! I especially loved to watch the children sing the Christmas songs she taught them in their Christmas programs. She took care that even the tiniest toddlers got to have their part.
