(nee Oelger), she went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday-June 16, 2020.
Beloved wife of Ken Hodge; dear mother of Katie (Nick) Burch, Allen (Brittany Doseck) and Andrew Hodge; dear daughter of Barbara (nee Gasaway) Oelger and the late Leo William Oelger; dear sister and sister-in-law of Cindy Oelger (Robert Kelbel) and Chris (John) Giannakis; dear aunt of Rachel Martin, Rebecca Burke, Kristen Giannakis, Rob Kelbel, Justin Oelger, Miranda and Ryan McKelvey; dear great aunt of Sofie Kelbel, Riley Oelger, Alivia McKelvey, Lily Gutterman, Hunter Johnson, Liam and Jedidiah Burke; our dear cousin and friend to many.
Rev. Cheryl Lynn Oelger Hodge was a member and served on the ministry staff of the Wright City Church of the Nazarene. She held a district minister's license in the Missouri District Church of the Nazarene and served as Operations Director at the Wright City Community Food Pantry. She was well-known and loved as "Pastor Cheri" through ministry in the Wright City community with children, youth, senior adults, and their families. Cheri was employed as a substitute teacher in the Wright City and Troy school districts, connecting with and encouraging students and teachers in the academic setting.
She loved the beautiful color of yellow and her favorite flowers were sunflowers and colorful wildflowers. She was a homestyle country girl! She was loved by all who knew her and she will be greatly missed.
Services: Sunday, June 21, 4:00 p.m. at Church of the Nazarene Wright City Missouri, 521 N. Service Rd., Wright City, MO 63390. Visitation at church from 1:30 p.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, donations to Pinecrest Children’s Camp Scholarship Fund., MO District Church of the Nazarene, 11703 Old St. Charles Rd., Bridgeton, MO 63044.
