Not sure what to say?

Our deepest sympathy to her family and many friends. An valued friend and colleague in Research Administration community, she will be greatly missed.

Jim&Alyssa, So sorry for your loss. We were so close in our younger days and I wish we could have stayed a little closer. Cheryl will be very much missed by the Howe family and the many people who knew and loved her.

My memories of Cheryl are not recent, having not seen her and her family for many years. But I remember her fondly in our younger years when our families would visit from Maine. Her mother was one of my favorite people as a youngster. My condolences to her family and friends. RIP cousin Cheryl.

Jim&Alassya&family,Sorry we couldn't be there for you.Our thoughts & prayes are with you.She was a wonderful person and will be missed. We will remember all the good times we had in Baltimore with all of you. Keep in touch with us.Your Cousins Wayne & Jean

I would like to echo all the positive statement made by her friends at Johns Hopkins. You can't amagine the positve influence she has been in a very complex business. We will greatly miss her amazing combination of technical knowledge and interpersonal skills. Cheryl was mentor to many, and an example to many more. We are very sorry for your (and our) loss.

Cheryl was a great administrator who really helped faculty get on with our work while keeping us out of trouble. She was terrific to work with and built a terrific organization.

I came to Johns Hopkins in 1995 as a Full Professor with no academic experience (I was from IBM) but with several rather complicated contracts and intellectual property arrangements to work out. My first contacts with Cheryl came in trying to sort all this out. I really appreciated her patience, knowledge,...

My deepest sympathies to Cheryl's family and friends. I didn't work directly with Cheryl, but with her staff. Just by their helpfulness, diligence, and exceptional service, I know Cheryl was a true leader and mentor. She will be missed.

Cheryl was my boss at Hopkins when I was a work study student and then years later when I worked in her office as a programmer. She was a wonderful supervisor, and I thought of her as a friend. I left Hopkins seven years ago, but made sure to keep in touch. Cheryl always had a warm smile, and when she was talking to you, you felt like the most important person in the room. She was loved and will be greatly missed.

Cheryl hired me 18 years ago when I was new to research administration. Over the years, she has been my trainer, teacher, leader, mentor, encourager, sounding board, friend, and so much more. I will greatly miss her sense of humor, her thoughtfulness, and all our discussions. The world has lost a terrific woman.
