Cheryl Lynn Purvis, 67, of Reeds Spring Missouri went home to be with The Lord on June 10th 2025.
Cheryl loved her crafts. Whether it be hand painting another scene for her massive Christmas village décor, or creating costumes for the grandkids to play in, she was always hunting her next project. No garage sale was safe! Countless hours were spent bargain hunting for lodge or wilderness décor or a new painting or furniture rehab job. She loved to bake. There was never a holiday without Grandma Cheryl showing up with enough sweets to feed the entire neighborhood. Fishing on Table Rock lake was one of her favorite ways to spend her days. Cheryl spent years working for the Silver Dollar City Campground and Talking Rocks Cavern before retiring to help take care of the growing numbers of grandkids. If you found her at a sporting event of one of her boys or eventually her grands, it wouldn’t be long before everyone heard her from the stands. She loved to give gifts. She would search year-round for the right gift for everyone on the Christmas list. She was described by her family as funny, spunky, creative, artistic, unashamed, thoughtful, independent and occasionally terrifically stubborn.
She is proceeded in death by her beloved Mother Doris Elaine Purvis (Ruby), her Father Gary Loren Purvis, and her brother Rusty Purvis.
She is survived by her brothers Wayne Purvis, Warren Purvis, her sons Mike Porter and his wife Tosha and Rick Porter and his wife Kristal, her grandchildren Thomas Berg, Madison McAlister and her husband Lindle, Abbey Oliver and her husband Preston, Kyndall Keeland and her husband Greg, Amarah McDonald and her husband Matt, Maverick Porter, Tyson Porter, Asher Porter, Teagan Porter, Kyrie Porter, Salem Porter, and Aniya Porter. Great grandchildren include Ada Oliver, Swayze Berg, Kooper Keeland, Porter Keeland. Nieces and nephews include Kimi Moore, Jason Purvis, Maica Purvis, and Chris Purvis.
In remembrance a gathering will be held on Saturday June 14th at Keystone Assembly of God in Reeds Spring at 11am. The family welcomes you. Absent from the body with Jesus at last!! Cremation was under the direction of Stumpff Funeral Home, Kimberling City, MO.
