You will not know me but Chet and I are first cousins. My mother was a Beckrest and was a sister to your grandfather John. I do remember your Dad coming to our house to visit in his service uniform. He would visit our grandmother who lived with us and that would be your Grear grandmother. I remember your Mom Arline and remember when they moved to Ca.
I read the obituary in the cleveland paper and want to send my sympathy to you.
Family memories are always...

We are so sorry to hear of Chet's passing.
I'll never forget the warm welcome he gave me the very first time I met him (over 30+ years ago). Arline was just as warm and loving. They both treated me like family, for which I will never forget.
The loss of a family member is difficult to bear. We share your grief.

Sorry for your loss Tom and Don. I did not know your mom and dad all that well, but judging by Chuck and Joann's comments about Mr. and Mrs. B they must have been a dynamic duo and most surely special people.

Over 50 years ago, as a young boy, the Beckrest Family were my neighbors just around the corner on Monteagle Drive in East San Jose. Arline was like a second mother to me and those summers playing with Donny were endless. But, I still remember to this day Chet doing something special he took me fishing for the first time in my life, an experience I never forgot. Thank you for that wonderful day. Mr. Chester A. Beckrest is now reunited with his beloved wife Arline, son John, brother...
