Chester R. "Shorty" Carwile Sr.

CARWILE, Chester R., Sr. "Shorty" - Of Davison, age 66, died Tuesday, November 20, 2007 at his residence. Funeral service will be held at 2PM Wednesday, November 28, 2007 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Reverend Grant H. Wessel officiating. Burial in Crestwood Cemetery with a military graveside service under the auspices of the Marine Corps League Flint Detachment #155 Honor Guard. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to American Diabetes Association or American Heart Association. Visitation 12Noon Wednesday until the time of the service. Chester was born in Flint, Michigan on December 11, 1940, the son of the late Manford and Flossie (Hipps) Carwile. He loved woodworking and painting. He was a member of UAW Local #599. Surviving are children, Tammy and husband Steve Brewer, Chester R. Carwile, II, Robin and husband TommieJohn Williams, Misty Carwile and Michael Carwile; sister, Margaret Carlisle; brothers, Eugene and wife Diane Carwile and James Carwile; grandchildren, Charles A. Swett II, Jeremy Swett and Mark Lee, III; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by brothers, Myarlen, Sr., George, Walter, Sr., Marvin , Tommy, Sr., David, Manford, Sr. and Clarence.
