Remembering Dad today. Just recently , May, 25th 2015, marked a year since his passing. I wrote a new message on his previous Guestbook. Check it out on Facebook under Legacy.com

This first whole year without you, Dad, has been difficult. Family and many others are missing that smile, wit, and special gift of love that you gave. We know that you are enjoying the presence of the Lord and the beauty of heaven. Thanks for enriching our lives!

It has been almost four months now and the longing for just a word or two with dad and missing him are still very fresh wounds. But his smile and humor and deep love for his family and friends will always be in our memories. I made a picture album of dad with all of his favorite people--- and there were many of them. I looked at all of the things that he did with others, and , of course, the tears came. He sure was fun and made a lot of people smile. The Poconos trip will not be the same...

We are so sorry to hear about your dad's passing, and we know you will miss him dearly. He was a good man and a good husband and father who cared deeply for his family. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this sad time.

I love you Uncle Chet, your laughter and the sunshine from Summer visits on the farm, and to The St Louis Zoo will always be a part of me. My heart is with Aunt June, Greg, and Gail today. I Know I wont ever know anyone as special as my Uncle Chet again ... I guess if you are very good, you get one like him in your life.

June, Greg, Gail, and Families,
My thoughts are with you during this time of sadness and loss.
With sympathy,
Coleen Kelly Heistand

Rest in peace Pappy

Pappy,
You will be missed by all. You were a great man with great stories. The boys will miss you. May you rest in peace, until we meet again.
