Not sure what to say?

One of my first memories is of going out in service with Chet and Lois. They brought my parents in the truth and I grew up thinking of them as surrogate grandparents. Through moving and marriage I had lost touch but I have never lost the memories of the good times staying at their house and just hanging out with them. My mom, Katy, and I talk often of what a great man he was. We will just have to wait a 'little longer' to tell him in person. Our love goes out to Lois and all the family.

Micah Hart and Mink being married by his grandfather, Chester Hart, I think it was August 25, 2012

Hi, Joan,
Yes, that was my grandfather. He was an incredible builder and was the one who built your house. Thank you for your kind words. It's nice to know you remembered him from such a long time ago and in a positive way. He loved his work and did put a lot of love in what he did - he taught me to have pride in my work as well as all the other wonderful lessons he taught us.
Many thanks,
Lisa

I was so saddened to here of Chet's passing. He was such a wonderful person and had a huge impact on so many lives. I have thought of him and lois so many times over the years and have great memories of the dinner table in Melrose. Lois, Corky, Melody, Lisa, Micah, and all of the family--My thoughts and prayers are with you.

In 1979 we had a house built in Newington Plantation. The Builder was Chet Hart. I wonder if that was your father and grandfather. From this obituary, this sounds just like the gentleman who built our house. We have many happy memories of him he was a very special person. I was always so glad that he built our place because he seemed to put a lot of love in his work. Heaven is a better place . We are sorry for your loss This world needs more men like him. Sincerely, Joan Chinnis

I guess you can all see how the family felt about Chet (BopBop) based upon what you read in the Obituary. What I want everyone to know is, all the well wishes, phone calls, prayers, notes, kind comments, etc., all mean so much to us. Thank you all for everything. The moving tributes, both verbal and written, have been overwhelming, and so very welcome and appreciated. He left an impact - which is both obvious and comforting. Thank you all so much! I hope you all continue to leave kind...

I will always be grateful that Chet was the best grandfather that I could ever hope for, for my children; David, Lisa, Pennelloppe, Micah,Chris, and Corey. He was so kind and loving with them and will always be a strong example of wonderful qualities that will be with them throughout their lives. Thank you Chet for adding so much to all our lives. Chet also performed the marriage ceremony for Corky and I in 1968.

Such a beautiful and moving tribute. His family is in my thoughts and prayers.

What I remember most of all about Chet is that smile he always had and the twinkle in his eyes. He seemed to be happy all of the time. He could also be serious but kind. Many people from many places will remember him and
miss him.
