I first met Sonny when we worked on the Sphinx yearbook staff at the Citadel. He was the sports editor and was always upbeat and just a joy to be around. Never missed a deadline! My one fond memory of him was at a tailgate and I had asked him a question about tithing. My sincere and heartfelt condolences to Sonny's family. Sonny was a wonderful preacher in those days at First Baptist Church of Goose Creek. He also baptized me and my children, a wonderful experience I will never forget. You are now in the presence of our Lord. May you rest in peace. I know you will be missed. He had such a wonderful spirit.
