Chester T. Stetsko, 85, of Arborgate in Myerstown, died Friday, September 6, 2013. He was the husband of Frieda D. (Alejko) Stetsko to whom he was married 62 years.
Born in Bound Brook, NJ on April 12, 1928, he was the son of the late Michael and Helen (Michalska) Stetsko. He was retired from the Federal Government, Ft. Monmouth, NJ where he worked as an Industrial Specialist Engineer.
Chester was a U.S. Navy Veteran of WW II and attended Newark Academy of Art.
Surviving in addition to his wife are children Beverly, wife of William Borton of Medford, NJ, Gregg Stetsko of Incline Village, NV, Andrea, wife of John Kinsey of Hainesport, NJ, and a granddaughter Alexandra Kinsey.
Chet led a purposeful life. He was an avid golfer and hiker. He was a member of several art associations, winning numerous awards for his works in oils, pastels and watercolor. Ballroom dancing, pool, and bowling were among his other talents. He was quick with a joke, could fix just about anything, and always offered a helping hand.
Memorial Mass will be celebrated Tuesday at 11:00 AM from St. Paul the Apostle Church, 125 S. Spruce Street, Annville. Inurnment will be held at the family's convenience in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 10-11 AM prior to the service at the church.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Haiti Ministry at St. Paul's, Spruce St, Annville, PA 17003, or the Art Alliance of Central PA, PO Box 811, Lemont, PA 16851-0811 in memory of Chester.
