To the family know that God is with you in the loss of your loved one. May you find peace in the thought that your loved one is in a better place. "Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted." - St. Matthew 5:4 (King James Version). With deepest sympathy, Edgecombe County Sheriff James L. Knight and Staff.

Brenna,

So sorry to hear of your father's passing. May God bless and comfort you. My sincerest condolences.

Riki and family,
Chet was an inspiration to all he met. My deceased husband, Ted, had the honor of serving on the TRI County Board with him. I had the wonderful opportunity of working with him thru Abbott Lab. His journey through life truly left this world a better place. I will miss his smiling face and good hearted spirit. My thoughts and prayers go out to you.

I remember Chet from all the hard work he did with Tricounty Industries where my son was a client. If it hadn't been for them he wouldn't have become a productive member of society. My prayers are with his family as they morn his passing.

Our family here in Asheville is deeply saddened to hear of Chet's passing. We were lucky enough to get to know him through his sons Chet and Pearce. Chet was a loving father a caring member of the community and someone we should all try to emulate. Our sincerest condolences go out to his family, friends and the community who lost one of their greatest advocates.

I had the privilege of meeting Mr. Mottershead when he came to speak to Adam's BSA troop in Raleigh regarding Disability Awareness merit badge. What an exemplary and inspirational life he led!
