I took a course in Chinese history with Professor Wang when I was a graduate student at Georgetown University in 1977. I am greatly saddened to learn the passing of our respected friend Prof. Dr. Chi Wang. Chi had a distinguished career at Georgetown University, Chinese University of Hong Kong, Library of Congress and elsewhere. For half a century, he built up the elaborate collection at the Chinese Section of the Library of Congress.
