I only knew Chick from his fantastic portrayal of "The Leatherman", Marv Gomez in Thank God It's Friday. Upon reading his Wikipedia page, I understand now that his military service is most outstanding and commendable. Thank you for your service!

I'm just a fan who was 12 in 1978 whrn i saw TGIF . It's 2025 im 58 and i still watch the movie TGIF e every now and then.
Chick as The Leatherman was a great character and he was fantastic in it.
I just watched it today and Googled Chick only to sadly find out he past away in 2021. May he RIP with the Lord in Heaven.

Thought about him today. He is a kind and such a giving soul. He always fought for and with his students and what they were going through. He could see the struggle with such transparency and cared for each student like a mix of a mentor and a battle buddy.
Many years later I reached out to him during his waning health, asking advice for my son. He didn't have to respond as I was one of well over 1000 faces he taught. But he did. And he was part of me realizing where to be a better...
