The Byron and Caryl Mackay family wishes to express their sympathy at Chris' passing. We have fond memories of Granger Market and the friendship we shared for many years with Chris and his family.

My love and prayers are with all of you at this time. I had the privelege of getting to know Chris and Verna thru my son Greg Mefret now of Moab, Utah. Chris was a very special man, and Greg enjoyed helping him with what ever Chris needed. Keep all your memories stored in your hearts forever.

So sorry to hear of your dad's passing, Jon. Haven't seen you in years but the Anast Family and the Granger Market are icons in the Granger area! Still can't call it West Valley City!

Blessings!

My husband Greg was a good friend of Chris' and he was always so good to our girls when we went for a visit. Greg really enjoyed helping Chris with his "to do" list. He will be missed, he was a good man. Our thoughts are with Verna and his family.

I remember when he would go out to his garden and pick a lemon cumcumber and cut it up just for me!! i love you big papou!

I remember him behind the meat counter at the Granger Market (his dad was at the cash register) when I was kid buying groceries for my mom. We also bought our coal to heat the house from the market. That little store holds a special place in my childhood memories. May God bless the Anast family.
