Just so so sudden and so sad.A mighty totara has fallen way to soon. Our aroha to Mandy and children. The atua will cherish his company..

I was very saddened to hear of Chris's passing.
I remember the first day I met chris in Christchurch hospital.
He made quite an impression in Chch A/M
with his long hair, laid back persona , funny and great to be around .
He was very kind and sympathetic, and was an excellent doctor.
I met you last at at Auckland Airport 5 years you travelling to a course.
Brother I such miss you.

Chris, was a shock to hear of your sudden death.
I only met you once. You left such an impression, you were my hero doctor. You are unforgetable. You watched me with a smile, arms crossed after they had administered morphine and said I wish there were more people like you, and then ran off to get your cellphone and played 'they are coming to take you away ha ha' which set us off into fits and giggles.
Chris, you are a rare and needed person in this world. You are a giant of a man....

Chris was a wonderful person but he also expressed his humanity in a magnificent way through his profession. Almost 20 years ago he saved my life most probably by diagnosing my condition where others had overlooked it. He was warm, caring, creative and had great humanity. I thank the universe that we have had him with us. Warmly, Rita Dibert
