Chris and I became friends through work and practically eating lunch together everyday for 14 years straight. We would bounce bigger words off each other in a sentence and then dissect the correct use of the word, for Chris did pride himself on vocabulary. Mind you this was all in good fun and combined with Chris's quick wit and razor sharp sense of humor, was quite a fun way to pass our lunch hour.
