Dr. Pinet had a pivotal influence on me. I took a core course from him during my early college days at MSU; he awakened my intellectual curiosity and confidence. Over the two decades since then, it has always been a pleasure to cross paths with him and Carolyn on the trails or at events. What generous, fully present people.
