Not sure what to say?

Well Chris, Another year has passed. Johnny is 14 year of age now. You would be proud of him. He is a fine young man and his mother´s pride and joy. He often asks about you. When he received a silver chain necklace as a gift. Mom decided to give him with a gold chain you wore. She also gave him the championship ring you wore. He so very proud of it and you. He plays baseball as you did at his age. Every year Johnny and Denise celebrate your life on the day of your passing. In Johnny you have...

Hello Chris, it has been 12 years since you left us. Much too soon. Thank you for your legacy, Johnny. He just celebrated his 12th birthday. He is a kind and loving boy thanks to his mother, Denise who is raising him as a single mom. You would be very proud of him. Although he was only a month old when you passed. He knows who is daddy was. Mommy continues to tell him stories about his daddy. He will make you proud. Our Love to you , Denny and Shirley Smith Your mom and pop in-law.

Thanks to all who have shared your "Chris" stories. He was the ultimate big brother as well as the "wild uncle" to my children. We will miss him tremendously.

I would also like to thank you all for all your wonderful memories of Chris. He was very unique in many ways. These entries have helped our family put some smiles back on our faces as we remember Chris with all his friends.
Thanks again for remembering him, and always remember to live life to the fullest... Maybe not as full as he would have!

My deepest sympathies go out to the Potter family! I know Chris is in a better place, free from the pain and suffering he fought off for some time. Laura, I will always remember his laughter, when we would scare car drivers at the square in L-town! It was great hanging-out, and having some clean fun with people. It's been along time, but never forgotten!

Dear Mr. Potter, laura, Julie and Sarah,

I was so devastated to hear of Chris' passing.I had not seen Chris in a long time. When ever I think of Chris I always smile or laugh! We used to go hunting together and go golfing. One time we decided to put the two together and blow up golf balls.I better not go into any more detail than that. anyway,I'll never forget all the fun we had in school, football, wrestling ,hooky in 8'th grade . taking tests together etc. I will always remember Chris...

Chris will live on in Johnny

Many years ago our pastor commented that God answers all prayers. The answer may not be the one we want to hear but it is for the best for all. We all prayed that Chris would recover and that he and Denise would live a long and happy life together with Johnny. His answer was to permit Chris to live long enough to see and help with Johnny's delivery, to witness his baptism and to share his love with Denise until his last breath. Not exactly what we wanted but it is not what we want, it is when...

Reading these entries about my brother has been so inspiring. Thank you for sharing your memories and how Chris touched your life. He was a humble man...I wish he was here to read all the positive comments about how he impacted so many lives.

Many thanks,
Sara Potter Lucky (his youngest sister)

There are so many people who share your grief. Chris was truly one of the most charismatic people I have ever known. He will never be forgotten. May peace be with his entire family during this difficult time.
