Not sure what to say?

We have lost a great friend. The mortgage business has lost a visionary leader.

It's impossible - in a few words - to capture the essence of such an extraordinary human being. But maybe one word speaks more clearly than any other : generosity. Chris was generous with his time and his money - but, more than this, he was generous with his friendship and support.

We experienced this generosity first-hand when Chris was one of the first to see the potential for the...

I was very sad to read of Chris' passing.. He was a huge contributor to the mortgage industry.. He will be missed...

God Bless,

You have changed my life in more ways than you will ever know. Love you always. Karen.

Chris and I became friends in the late 80's when he founded the CAMB and I was on the road to becoming a President of NAMB. He was on my board and chaired the membership committee - who better to sell the association that Chris! I could go on, but let me use a few words to describe our friend.

Chris, I know you are reading this, and I wanted to take this opportunity to THANK YOU for your support, wisdom, constructive criticsim and friendship and for being the BEST mentor I have ever had.

I can't even begin to tell you the profound changes I have made in my life because of you. You will be in my heart and soul forever. k.

Chris and Vienna were to meet my husband and me for dinner on Friday, the day he died. I was looking forward to telling him he had once again made a positive impact on the life of a budding entrepreneur, my husband’s niece. She has been in the mortgage business for 10 years and was contemplating starting her own brokerage firm but had received conflicting information and was discouraged. Chris stepped in, picked up the phone gave her sage advice that she put to use. Last Friday she took her...

Chris and my paths crossed several times over the years. At our 1st meeting, back in the late 80's, we found that we had both started our lives in East L.A. and that we had both graduated from Bishop Amat High School. Chris hired me as a trainer at some of his first MOM sponsored events and some of my first professional seminars. He literally boosted me up the ladder by printing my training articles and offering me speaking forums. I will remember him as a hometown boy who made good and who...

I am deeply saddened to hear about Chris passing away. Over the past month I have been working with Chris on one of his great ideas. Two weeks ago, he gave me a stack of inspirational CDs. Ironically, last Friday I left him a message telling him how thankful I was and that he provided me with renewed inspiration. Chris, thanks again for all your love, support and inspiration. You are truly a wonderful man and a wonderful blessing. My prayers, thoughts and support to the Salazar family.

We will all miss Chris' unbridled enthusiam, his creative and entreprenurial spirit, and his rare vision for the mortgage industry. Very few can claim they really made a difference. He did, and he did it his way! My prayers for the family and his many friends.
