A talented player that had such a promising career ahead of him, such a painful loss. My heart goes to the Smith family and friends, your pain is shared by many. May God dry your tears and heal your hearts as you endure your time of loss.

I am so sad and sorry to hear about the passing of Chris. I knew him in his younger years as a basketball player on our sons´ AAU team and he was such a nice boy from a great family. Special thoughts and prayers for his parents and sister as they go through this sad time.

I coached Chris in AAU basketball as a middle schooler and my sons were his teammates. He was a very kind and considerate young man who had an infectious smile. I last saw Chris when he was in high school but he still had the same big smile. My sons ran into him several times during their college athletic careers and remarked "the same old Chris!".
