Not sure what to say?

I worked in the classroom next door to Chris at Grandville Middle School while I was there as a long term sub for 12 weeks. It was my first teaching position, ever, and he went out of my way to help me and make me feel welcome. I always knew he would end up in a leadership role and would make a difference. I am sad to see him go, but I know that he truly did make a difference in the lives of many, including myself.

I had the pleasure of meeting and caring for Chris while at Mott. He was an amazing guy, always friendly and ready with a smile. My condolences on your loss, someone so special can never be forgotten.

So sorry for your loss he was a great young man

I had the pleasure of working with Chris at South Elementary and then at the middle school. I have never met anyone with such a tremendous attitude. He made an impact on everyone he met. He was loved and respected by his peers and students alike. He will be missed.

Chris and his family were the epitome of what it looks like to walk thru adversity with grace, dignity, humor, and love. Like so many others, my life was made better from having known him.

My heart aches for you at this terrible time. you want so badly to comfort his wife, your grandkids, your parents, and his friends but need the Holy Spirit's strength and gentleness yourself. strength yourself. Praying that your community will stand tightly shoulder to shoulder with you so that when your knees get weak, you will be tightly encircled so...

Julie and Family,

I followed Chris's journey closely throughout the last four years and have prayed for you all during that time. I didn't know Chris personally, but could see how great of an impact he had on his family and community. His positive attitude, strength and GRIT was undeniable to anyone who followed his story. As you face the days ahead and learn to live in a new sort of normal, I will continue to pray for strength and peace, and that you will be able to soon find comfort...

Chris brought energy and laughter to any occasion. We are all better for having known him. Our prayers of support go to the families.

My deepest sympathy to each one of you. Tonya, I been praying for all of you for a long time. You will continue to be in my thoughts and prayers in the days and months ahead as you journey through this very painful and difficult time. May you experience God's faithful loving arms wrapped around you in a real and personal way bringing you His comfort and peace. His promise is to never leave or forsake us.
