Not sure what to say?

Mr. Xeros was a substitute teacher for me in 6th grade for ONE day, that is how big of an impact he made in my life that to this day, I still remember him, and his story on how he was captured in Korea and he was kept alive because he knew how to teach. Mr. Xeros told us that skills are important, so find a good skill have; for if it were not for his skills he maybe would not have been with us to share those memories and lectures.

What can I say about such a great man I have known for over 50+ years. Played in his orchestras At Marsh and WT White where he always made a place for the "barbaric " saxophone. Was my Sunday school teacher at Greek Church. Knew a lot about so many subjects. Very funny guy with a wicked sense of humor. I know he and God are NIW having some colorful discussions.

I First Met Chris when my wife Diane joined the Richardson Symphony back in the early eighties. Saw many performnces throughout the years. Floyd Cramer, Yo Yo Ma, Chet Atkins and many many more. Also The Carmina Burana Live at The Meyerson. Chris was as with my wife part of a group called the GNTP ( Greater North Texas Philharmonic ) It was group that helped cities set up there own Orchestra's. I remember when Chris, my wife Diane and I. Set up the Allen synphony offices. I carried all the...

I first met Chris in 1961 when we were fellow instrumental music teachers in the DallasISD. I was a bit in awe of him as he was an experienced teacher and I was a new-be'. Aside from teaching, he and a few other local musicians, of which I was one, formed a small chamber orchestra consisting of mostly teachers from the area. Chris was the conductor but he had bigger things in mind. It was then that he initiated the idea of an orchestra for Richardson, a Symphony Orchestra, and I let...

I was honored to stand by his side as a chanter at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church for the past eight years. His support, sense of humor, and love of music were passed on to all who knew him.
He was my teacher and my friend, and I will miss him so.
May his memory be ever eternal!

It was my pleasure to work with Chris when the brand new W.T. White High School opened in 1964. I was a first year teacher but I remember his wisdom and advice. I had lunch with him a couple of years ago (with others) at the WTW 50th Reunion. Rest in peace, Chris.

Mr. Xeros was always very near and dear to my heart. He always believed and me and took time to spend time with me and teach me how to be a better a musician. His passion for music inspired me to take on that passion for myself. He inspired me to work hard and dive deep into classical music. I will always love his wit and humor and his love for music. He was very special to me and I will never forget him.
