Christ "Shoes" Nezamis

Dave and family,
I happened across this announcement catching up on Kalamazoo news. Your Dad was always a bright spot in my day. He had a great sense of humor that you inherited, and I spoke of him often. It was only a few days ago when I told an "Okun Bros" story to our 16 yr old son that included your Dad; my wife Dawn piped up and added in some "Christ color."

Life is all about adding in to others' experiences and hopefully doing so positively. Christ Nezamis did so...

DEAR NEZAMIS FAMILY: OUR PRAYERS ARE WITH YOU AT THIS DIFFICULT TIME. " SHOES " WAS A HILARIOUS AND FUNNY MAN. HE WAS DEFINATELY ONE OF A KIND AND VERY GENERIOUS MAN. WE LOVED SHOES WITH ALL OUR HEARTS. IT WAS SO SAD AND SHOCKING TO HEAR ABOUT HIS PASSING AWAY. HE WAS A TRUE GREAT FRIEND TO US. WE WILL MISS HIM DEARLY. HE WAS A HARD WORKING MAN. Dear Nezamis family: We only met Christ last December when he took care of us at Art Van. He was so sincere, understanding and funny. He made us feel so comfortable and we instantly became dedicated to him as his customers. He really made an impression on us. Our heartfelt sympathies are with your family.

Dear Nezamis Family:
Christ will always hold a very special place in my heart. He was instrumental in getting me into Okun's back in '69 and it launched a lifelong sales career for me.
He was also very willing (and patient!) in helping me learn 'tourist Greek' before my trip to visit family in '73, he practiced w/me for MONTHS prior to my trip and what I learned served me very well and still does!
