Not sure what to say?

Ten years - hard to believe. Christen was such a kind and gentle person. She was a pleasure to have as a graduate student and a friend. I remember her fondly. All the best to her family and friends.

I had the pleasure of reconnecting with Christen about a year ago when she came back to Minnesota for a course at the U, and we spent an evening together. She had grown up to be this charming, poised young lady with an infectious smile, from the fun little tyke of three I had first met when I moved to Minnesota. Her face lit up as she helped me catch up with news of her family and as she described her work with animals, as well as her experiences in Nepal, Africa and other places; but she...

My deepest sympathies. Christen was a shining light as a veterinarian and as a friend. I feel so honored to have had the chance to know a woman of such strength, compassion, and talent.

Such a huge loss to all her friends and family, my deepest sympathies to all who loved her. I had the pleasure of living and working with Christen in Addo, all those years ago when we were studying elephants. There was many a good book we shared. I'll miss her

My thoughts and prayers are with your family! I met Christen at the SK program between 2nd & 3rd year and had no idea she was sick until we all started talking on the way back from our weekend trip. The more we talked, I could definitely tell that even though what she was going through was difficult, she NEVER let it slow her down at all. She was truly amazing and I'm so glad I was able to meet her!

Precious moments, precious life, precious Christen.

I did not know Christen but can discern from the lovely thoughts that she touched many deeply. May you be comforted by the words of Jesus when he said that not one sparrow, of very little value, falls to earth and his Father not notice. He added, you are worth more than many sparrows. I am convinced that He always takes note when someone we love falls asleep in death. I pray that this knowledge brings you comfort.

Linda, We were so sorry to hear of Christen's death. Please know our thoughts are with you.

What an amazing path Christen was able to travel in such a short time. My heart goes out to the family and I'm sending prayers your way.
