Diagnosed with Stage 4 Melanoma Cancer in 2011, I underwent brain surgery to remove a tumor so I can easily relate to Christian's fight. I met Christian freshman year of high school and immediately adored him. He took me from the world of cheesy Z100 pop opened the doors to Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd, which I fondly remember listening to in his room. I just found out today that my dear friend has passed. I have very few friends in my life and I was proud to call Christian one of them. We were both awkward in our own way and he accepted me for who I was, when others usually didn't. We bonded several nights, over the years by playing music together, talking about our aspirations, the comedic light of our world, and the beauty there within.
