Not sure what to say?

Elwanda and Roger:
Our thoughts and prayers have been with you ever since we learned of Christian's passing into the loving arms of his Father. We were so saddened by the news, and we were even more saddened that we learned of it only a few days ago. I do not know how we missed it in the paper. Christian played for our daughter's wedding at Central, and he played for my father's funeral (Sloan Gentry). At Dad's funeral, the family was ushered out before the postlude, and the tape of...

Roger and Elwanda, I was surprised and saddened when I learned of Christian's passing. I will always remember his exquisite handling of the organ at Central Christian Church. I also have fond memories of walking Lifewalk with Elwanda and Christian. He will be long remembered and loved.

Elwanda and Roger,
What a beautiful service today for your beloved son, Christian. As lovely as the service was, having his organ shoes displayed among the flowers brought so many memories to the surface. I always loved watching his feet fly over the organ pedals, especially when he invited me to turn music pages for him. What an honor it was, and he probably didn't even realize how much it meant to me. He was responsible for our choir members getting to go to England, Scotland and...

I went to school with Chris in Amarillo from first grade through High School. Even though I haven't seen him since graduating, I have many great memories of him, far too many to list. I do remember him playing "The Entertainer" for us in Mrs. Dalby's music class at Bivins. I'm almost positive this was as far back as 3rd grade! My prayers go out to his family and friends!

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Griffith-I was sorry to learn of Chris' passing in today's paper and as a member of Temple Emanu-El he brought so much joy with his talent of music and such showmanship during our Purim event - his "Elton John" costume is one of my favorite memories. May your memories help you during this time. In deepest sympathy -Shelley and Danny Wylie

I had known Chris as a friend for the last 3 years. He was very talented man, kind and generous. He was just as proud of building his deck by hand, as he was of his musical work. He had a gentle heart with incredible depth. I will miss him terribly.

I was saddened to hear of Christian's death. He was a loving person and accomplished organist. He was also fun to be around. On a choir trip to England, Scotland and Ireland he became a treasured friend. He earned the nickname "Caveman" from me when he would utter one syllable sounds in the morning ... obviously not a morning person! I will miss you, Caveman. May you rest in peace with God.

I was surprised and saddened to hear of Chris' death. He was an incredible musician, both technically gifted and deeply emotive. Although I haven't seen Chris in several years, I'll miss him.
