Not sure what to say?

Dr. Schmitt and I worked together at Providence for many years. He was always kind and respectful of the nurses and answered any questions we asked, never condescending. One day I walked into the nurses´ station and all the chairs were occupied. He immediately stood and offered me his chair. I told him that had never happened to me before and that he was a rare breed! Indeed he was. His absence from this world is a loss for us all who knew him.

I had the pleasure to work with Dr Schmitt for years. We used to laugh about him driving his son´s mustang that had grey primer. What a great man! The sweetest! He is missed. Ruth Molter

Dr. Schmitt was the kindest man. He would always take the time needed for patients and others. I enjoyed working for him and remained a good friend. He will be dearly missed.

Dr. Schmitt was a delight to work with. I have spent 20 years working in interventional radiology at PRMCE and have had the great pleasure of working directly with him sharing may patients. Dr. Schmitt never had a cross word for any patient or staff member, always being generous with his knowledge and experience. His work ethic and patient care should set an example for us all.

Thank you Dr.Schmitt for carrying for your patients so well. I so enjoyed working with you and learned so much. Peace to each member of his family

Dr Schmitt, you will be so greatly missed. The care you gave my husband before and after his transplant in 2001 was top notch and it was obvious you truly cared. I loved it when you found me on FB and we got to stay in touch. This world is a better place with all that you did on your time on this earth and we thank you.

Here is a picture of me with Dr Schmitt at the Puget sound kidney centers patient picnic.
